Pawel Maciejewski was born in Poland in 1982.
In 2002 he started Chinese Language and Culture
studies in Poznan. After his second year he was granted
an international scholarship by the Polish Ministry of
Education and moved to Beijing where he spent over
two years, studying, working and traveling.
It was in Beijing where his interest in photography
and photojournalism deepened. In 2008 he graduated
from Adam Mickiewicz University in Poznan, Poland.
His photographs have been published in Polish and
foreign magazines ("Gazeta wyborcza", Polish edition
of "Newsweek", "Globtroter", "Condé Nast Traveler")
as well as in several books and manuals.
Currently, Pawel is working as a Polish-Chinese-English
translator and interpreter, Chinese culture specialist
as well as a freelance photographer and photojournalist.
Pawel is based in Poland and is available for
assignments. He is also looking for an agency
that could represent him.
